The Libretro archive needs no setup and covers your retro systems. For current-gen titles, a free SteamGridDB key fills the gap.

RAWG runs through this site's own proxy now, for PC titles specifically, as a second fallback if SteamGridDB comes up empty — no key to paste here. If it's still showing as unavailable, the proxy either isn't deployed on this build, or needs a RAWG_API_KEY secret set in the Cloudflare dashboard. More → Test cover art shows which.

Scanning a game's barcode looks it up against ScanDex, a free barcode-to-game database. You'll need your own free API key.

Steam's API can't be called from inside this page directly (the browser blocks it), but you can fetch it yourself in a normal tab and paste the result back here. Four steps:
1. Get a free key at
steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey
(any domain name works in the form, e.g. "localhost").
2. Find your SteamID64 — steamid.io
can look it up from your profile URL.
3. Your profile's Game details must be set to Public
(Steam → Settings → Privacy) or the response comes back empty.
4. Fill in both fields below, tap "Open Steam data,"
then copy everything on that page and paste it into the box.
